Children’s Ministry

Welcome to our Children’s Ministry page

Super Sunday Club

thisweekApril19a

This meets at 9.30.every week during the term, except the first Sunday, when there is all age worship. We begin in the church then go to the special Sunday Club rooms for our programme which is designed for children from pre-school age to primary Y6. We begin together, sharing stories from our week. Then follows an activity which will enable the children to relate to the topic for the week.

After this the children go into two groups and follow the same series of Scripture Union lessons at a level appropriate to their age and interest. The presentations include opportunities for active involvement of the children and the material always has personal life application.

We return to the Sunday church service in time to receive Holy Communion.

All Age Worship

On the first Sunday of each month all ages gather in church for the 9.30 Worship Service. This is a more informal, interactive, service, tailored to engage everyone. There is no communion at this service.

Messy Church – Next Messy Church date yet to be confirmed.

messy_church

Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults together which involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. We begin in the Parish Hall with refreshments and then follows a creative time exploring a biblical theme which sometimes gets messy! After about 45 minutest we go over to the church where we spend a short time praying, singing and hearing a story. The evening concludes with a sit down meal at tables. The service is fun and models spending good family time together.

We will meet on a Sunday, from 4.00-6.00pm in the Parish Hall a few times a year.

Below are some photos from one of our Messy Church events.

Check out the fun we had and the life size Goliath we made.
