Welcome to Holy Trinity, Devonport
I’m Rev Warren Watson, the Priest-in-Charge of the ANGLICAN PARISH OF DEVONPORT.
Holy Trinity Church is situated at 20 Church Street, Devonport. Nestled at the base of Takarunga / Mount Victoria and Maungauika / North Head, Devonport is one of the oldest suburbs in Auckland and certainly the oldest on the North Shore. This seaside village has a reputation for being a friendly and welcoming community. Many of the homes are bungalows or villas which give it an historical feel. The New Zealand Navy is based here in Devonport.
I am married to Sarah and we have a son, Andrew. Sarah is a piano teacher at King’s School, Remuera and Andrew is in his final year at Victoria University studying Film and Music. I have served in Anglican Parishes in Auckland, Kensington London and was also an Anglican School’s Chaplain to King’s College and Dilworth school.
I am looking forward to serving and supporting the church community in this season of change at Holy Trinity. I brings with me a ministry
which is focused on prayer, preaching and pastoral care. I enjoy playing the guitar and seek to stay fit by surfing, cycling, and walking
along Orewa beach close to where we live.
From Hebrews 10 v. 24
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.”
Blessing and Peace.
